Timberlake Plantation is located just 8.5 miles south of Chapin, SC. Chapin is located at Exit 91 on I-26, a main artery between Greenville-Spartanburg, Columbia and Charleston. The Chapin exit is 25 minutes from downtown Columbia, the state's capital. Chapin is located within a 1.5 hour drive of Charlotte, Augusta and Greenville-Spartanburg. It's a 2 hour drive to the Charleston Beaches and the Asheville mountains, and 2.5 hours to Myrtle Beach.
Timberlake Plantation Owners Association (TPOA) was founded in March 1987 and consists of 321 home sites. TPOA is comprised of 7 neighborhoods along the shore of beautiful Lake Murray; Club Pointe, Fairway Oaks, Fairway Ridge, Linkside, Overlook Pointe, The Fairways and Plantation Summit. Lake Murray is often referred to as the; "Crown Jewel" of South Carolina. It is a man made 47,500 acre reservoir with approximately 540 miles of shoreline. The lake provides recreational opportunities for homeowners as well as thousands of visitors each year. The lake is home to an estimated 20,000 lake front and lake access residents. In addition to being on Lake Murray, our neighborhood also has the wonderful Timberlake Golf Course meandering throughout our neighborhood and along Lake Murray. Timberlake Golf Course is the only golf course situated on the shore of Lake Murray.

This site was conceived as a TPOA resource, used to broaden and strengthen relations between members and the Board of Directors. The site was also designed to provide basic Timberlake Plantation neighborhood information to community visitors.
